December 2024 Update

To give our team a chance to rest and recharge for the new year, we are signing off from now until Monday, January 6th. Before we sign off, we wanted to make a special announcement and share a survey.
Announcement:
We have finally received the last set of school absence data from the FOI requests that we fundraised for this spring!
We are drafting a report to present the results of the analyses of the FOI data and want to incorporate personal stories into the report, too. Stories can capture experiences and emotions that, when combined with the numbers, create a compelling, holistic picture that can inspire broader shifts in public sentiment and help prompt policy changes.
To collect these stories, we have created a survey.
